4 Usual Online Traffic Blunders

By Mark Kreyman

A lot of Internet promoters find themselves in a serious dilemma. They are applying all the so-called steps in generating targeted traffic, but still they cannot achieve the desired results. Such problem may be due to the following:

1. You have no idea how the market works. Everything begins with a good hindsight on your target market. To whom are you marketing? Unless you have the best answer, all your marketing techniques are completely useless. To top it off, you are wasting a lot of money.

It takes quite a while to truly know your market. Sometimes you need to perform thorough research studies. However, getting the first step right is the ultimate secret to your online marketing success.

2. You use several tools. Okay, this is not completely wrong. However, the tools should not be your main priority. The most important thing is value. One of the things you have to remember is if these tools deliver the right traffic to your business; in other words, is your market using the same applications, or are these tools reaching to the right people? Unless your target market is using LinkedIn, there is no reason why you should use it.

3. You do not monitor. Just because you are getting good figures in Alexa does not imply you are doing very well with driving traffic. The primary measure is your conversion rate. Thus, there is an absolute need to keep track and make sense of all the figures. Alexa ranking can go high and still not increase your profits

4. You ignore competition. True, as to online marketing, your primary focus needs to be your own business. However, you will not learn where you stand whenever you also ignore your competitors. To put it bluntly, you can obtain several great ideas from them. For instance, you can determine their strategies and use them to your advantage. You also have to be mindful of those below because they can, without you knowing it, take your place. 5. You do not entice. Landing pages can only do so much. To further persuade them to subscribe, offer some great and valuable incentives.
