Organizations Involved In The Fair Trade Market System

The fair trade market is a social organization that aims at promoting sale of produce by producers in developing countries that promotes flat pricing and sustainability. This organization also champions for the promotion of higher set social and environmental standards.

Its focus is primarily on export products such as handcrafts, coffee, sugar, cocoa, tea and honey among others. Internationally there are several recognized flat based business certifiers including The Fairness Trading International formerly known as The Fairness trading Labeling Organization.

Most flat based consumer organizations of import are part of or accredited by one in many other international and national organizations. These federations coordinate, promote and facilitate the work of these types of organizations. Some of the larger organizations that support this system of trade include firstly these international organizations. It was formed originally in nineteen ninety-seven and is an organization of three producer networks and twenty national labeling initiatives.

These are often given the duty of developing the standards for this type of marketing system, licensing the buyers and marketing the mark of certification of these organizations. This system however only allows certain goods and products from very specific countries. Some of the goods like coffee and tea require to be produced by cooperatives otherwise; their sale is greatly restricted if otherwise produced.

The FT federation association (FTF) which is an organization of American and Canadian level ground business wholesalers, retailers and retailers was formed in nineteen ninety four. It provides information to its members and acts as a conduit for information and its clearance. It also caters for networking and networking of producers and relieves its members of this burden. To be a member of this organization once has to certify personally that they will adhere to defined set FT principle in a hundred percent of their businesses.

There also is the European Air Trade Organization (EFTA), which was created in nineteen ninety. It rose as a network of alternative European trading organizations, which import products from some four hundred economically disadvantaged producers. These producers are mainly in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Its greatest goal is to promote this school of thought and to make flat based business importing more efficient and effective. The formation of F. I. N. E., as an informal organization of the various organizations aimed at harmonizing the fair trade markets standards and guidelines. This would sufficiently increase the efficiency and quality of business for the level market based system. This also means that the organization is able to deal with the issues concerning unilateral marketing policies politically.

The fair trade market organizations give producers in economically disadvantaged countries a large advantage in the marketing of their goods. The organizations provide a nonprofit labeling organization for their goods and therefore afford the producers the opportunity to earn more from the sale of their goods. Provision of marketing networks also offers these members an opportunity to sell their goods effectively as opposed to how it would be if they were lacking in networking.
